Description: This free edition is limited to 10 disks per a catalog file (no functional limits!). You can remove this limitation when you need to add more than 10 disks via In-App purchases.

WinCatalog 2018 is a reliable and powerful application for cataloging and organizing files, stored on your disks (e.g. hard drives, DVDs, blu-rays, NAS drives, remote file servers, etc.), and finding files in seconds even without connecting disks to a computer.

WinCatalog will scan your disks and create a catalog of files. It will automatically grab ID3 tags for music files, Exif tags for image files, picture thumbnails, contents of archive files, thumbnails and basic information for video files, PDF thumbnails, ISO files, and much more.

The main goal of WinCatalog is to organize your catalog of files, using virtual folders, tags (categories) and any user defined fields, and find files in seconds, using powerful search, including search for duplicate files.

Your catalog can be automatically updated through Windows task scheduler.

You can export your catalog to XML, HTML or CSV (e.g. for MS Excel and other applications) formats for printing or further processing.

No matter how huge your collection of disks is - you will always have your files on hand, perfectly organized.

MAIN FEATURES OF WINCATALOG 2018

• Unlimited catalog size and extremely high operating speed while processing disk catalog, thanks to industrial database standards and SQLite DBMS.

ORGANIZING:

• An ability to add virtual folders and move items between them.

• An ability to tag disks, files and folders, and use as many tags as you wish. Some tags are created automatically.

• An ability to create any user defined fields.

• An ability to run files directly from WinCatalog.

SEARCH:

• Advanced powerful search: both typical search algorithm using simple queries and the advanced search using logical operators AND, OR, parenthesis and quotes.

• An ability to find duplicate files by matching one or more fields.

• An ability to filter search results.

• Multiple search tabs at the same time.

PROCESSING:

• WinCatalog grabs picture thumbnails for the most popular image formats and makes them available for preview without a connection to the original files! The supported types are: JPEG, PNG, BMP, ICO, GIF, Tiff, WMF, and EMF.

• WinCatalog grabs Exif tags from digital photos including comments, resolution, camera model, focal length, and other metrics.

• WinCatalog grabs thumbnails and basic media information (duration, resolution, audio channels, etc.) for video files.

• It extracts ID3 tags (Artist name, Album title, Cover image (see the picture on the right), and Composition name, etc.) and meta data (bitrate, duration, etc.) from music files: MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, OGA, ASF, M4A, M4B, M4P, and MP4.

• An ability to scan inside archives. The supported archives are: Zip (including the new Zipx), Rar, and 7zip.

• Scanning the contents of ISO disk images.

• All processing settings are adjustable and can be modified.

• When the contents of the disk changes, WinCatalog updates it very quickly. It skips unmodified files -it makes the update process very fast. When the disk data is updated, the previously entered comments and tags (keywords) are preserved.
