Never miss your favorite tv show again: with the technicorder app, you can program recording-timers for your TechniSat® digital tv or digital receiver, from a distance. If you are not at home, you can now set a new timer with your Windows Phone: just choose the channel, start and end time and the receiver starts and stops the recording automatically. Back home, all shows are recorded and ready to be watched. Even timer, which lie in the distant future or are periodically repeating, can be programmed this way.
Only TechniSat DVR (Digital Video Recorder) or PVR (Programmable Video Recorder) devices, that support the remote access function, are compatible with this app. This is not an official app by TechniSat. Therefore, the developer of this app has no influence on whether or not a receiver supports this remote access function. Furthermore, it is possible that receiver or tv devices, which were released after the introduction of this app, will not be supported.
The trial version of this app is has no restrictions, is ad-free and does not differ from the paid version. Buying the paid version is intended to be like making a voluntary donation to the developer.
An initial configuration of the receiver and the home network router is necessary, because TechniSat does not support automatic port forwarding via UPnP or providing an own dynamic DNS service.
