1. Live Tiles - If you pin the Tasks app to your Start page, you will get a dynamically, updated report on the Overdue and Tasks Due Today.
2. Deep Linking - On the menu in the main page, you have the option to add a tile that will open Tasks directly to the New Task page.
Once you have added a new Task, you will be taken back to the Main Page.
3. Daily Update - At the end of the day (just after midnight), a Background Task creates and refreshes the Live Tile with updated data for the new day.
4. Reminders - Tasks allows you to add reminders for your Tasks which will sound based on your device's settings for alerts.
If you click on the text in the reminder when it first opens, you will be taken directly to Tasks!
5. Smart Data Entry - When adding a reminder, if you want to add a reminder for later in the same day as when you are creating the task, simply add the time.
As long as the time is later than the current time, Tasks will add the date for you!
6. Priority and Notes Icons - Each Task in the lists will show an icon for Proirity and Notes if applicable. Normal Priority Tasks do not have an icon.
Lists are ordered by Date in decending order and then by Priority level Highest to Lowest.
7. Inline Details - Click on a Task to see the details including Start Date, Due Date, Date Completed (only in Completed Tasks view) and notes.
Overdue notification is given by coloring the Task Name/Subject red as well as having the word OverDue in red in the details view.
8. Inline Completion of Tasks - You can mark a Task as complete directly from it's list.
Once a Task is marked as Completed, it is moved from its current list to the Completed List.

9. Organized Views - Your tasks are organized into 5 separate views to make time organization easy:
Due Today - All OverDue or Tasks Due today will appear here.
Rest of the Week - All Tasks due between the current date and the next Sunday appear here with each day's tasks separated Showi; MoreLess
