Description
Skyguard for Smartphone transforms a Windows phone in to fully functional personal safety device. Certified to BS 8484 – the British Standard for Lone Worker Devices, the software is ideal for lone workers or other vulnerable individuals who do not wish to carry a dedicated personal safety alarm. Pressing the designated alarm button located on the phone will send the user’s GPS location and identity, as well as making a voice call, to Skyguard’s 24-hour Incident Management Centre. Action will be taken within seconds by Skyguard’s trained Controllers at the Incident Management Centre to assess the situation and follow your emergency procedures. The emergency services can be summoned if and when necessary. All calls and actions are digitally recorded on secure servers within Skyguard’s Incident Management Centre, should they be needed as legal evidence. The smartphone handset will vibrate as confirmation of an alarm being sent, when the alarm is received by the Incident Management Centre, and when position reports are sent. Automatic position reports will be sent to Skyguard’s Incident Management Centre at user defined intervals and can be sent manually by pressing the ‘Log Location’ button from within the application. Prior to undertaking a lone working activity, users can leave a voice recorded message on the Skyguard system, via the smartphone application to detail where they are going and who they are visiting. This is accessible to the Incident Management Centre in the event of an incident. A countdown timer of the estimated activity duration can be set after leaving this voice message. If the timer is not closed when the activity finishes/when the timer expires, an alarm will automatically be raised to our Incident Management Centre.
