Description: The National Department of Human Settlements has initiated a plan to allow for low income households to apply for a housing subsidy. These are also commonly known as RDP houses. To qualify for a RDP house, you must be:
- Over 21 years of age and mentally competent to sign a contract
- A South African citizen
- Earn less than R3500 for an RDP application
- Earn between R3500 and R15000 per month for a housing subsidy application
- A first time government subsidy recipient
- A first time home owner
The SITA Housing Application helps you apply for a place to stay. Apply for a home subsidy and if you qualify stand a chance to receive RDP housing from your local government.
