This Martian time is based on Coordinated Mars Time (MTC) for the timekeeping in the Red Planet. This is the standard time is first coded by NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, and it is commonly used.

Martian Time also used the commonly agreed Martian Year (MY) to keep track of the sidereal year on Mars.
