The M1 was the first inter-urban motorway to be completed in the United Kingdom. It was Britain's first full-length motorway and opened in 1959 and currently is 193 miles long, stretching from London to Leeds.

For frequent commuters and those familiar with the M1, there is no need for a Sat Nav. Instead, this application seeks to provide commuters with relevant traffic information for all, or part of the M1, by allowing you to create and monitor routes and capture planned and unplanned events provided by the Highways Agency.
