To create elemental gems and bombs you need to match 4 or more gems in a line, or make them align in a T or L pattern. Skulls and bones can only be destroyed by elemental magic jewels and bombs. Webs can't be destroyed by magic, you need to match jewels around them. Frozen cells can be destroyed both by magic and by matching jewels above them. Bubbles will evade when you touch jewels near them, so you have to catch the right moment to kill them.
