The ITML Mobile Service app is the mobile solution for SAP ERP field service processes, based on SAP CS. This app provides service engineers with all the information they require to handle the service process: worklist comprising service notifications and the associated service orders, details on technical objects (equipments, functional locations), and on customers/ordering parties and contact persons.
The app includes comprehensive confirmation functions for confirming fault data, cause data, spare parts, and working/travel times. It is also possible to take photographs and link them automatically to the service notification. A simple method of creating a service report from the collected and confirmed data, which the customer can acknowledge with a captured signature, rounds off the process for handling service visits.
Offline capability is an important feature of the app; it is consequently available without restrictions. Contents and records can be added and changed in edit mode. When the user next goes online, the data will be synchronized with the SAP ERP system. No additional database is required.

The solution is based on the Smart Business Framework, an SAP-certified ABAP add-on for SAP ERP.
