Hultsfreds Hembygdsforening was formed April 28, 1925. The activities were initially concentrated at the Hembygdsfeesten or Smålandsdagen, which the latter came to hot.
In times of concern, the band is always a force, and today, when so many social conditions are reversed, the maintenance of tradition becomes more necessary than ever. To a degree, Hultsfred's hometown association wants to work for homeland science and homebuilding on modern grounds, hoping in this endeavor to assist all the people, the old and the young people of the countryside.
