Description: GOOD SAM application (Windows Phone/RT) serves as the user interface and a secure electronic drop box for "The Good Sam Project". The term "Good Samaritan" applies to any charitable person, especially one who, like the man in the parable, rescues or helps out a needy stranger. Combine that with Citizen Journalism and we have "The Good Sam Project", a social collaboration platform for the social good. This is a platform that will help shorten the gap between the kind hearted individual, the incident that need attention and the NGO/Media/Government Body that needs to action on the reported incident.

Here is the explanation of the terms:
• GOOD SAM:: A kind hearted volunteer, a consenting female/male adult, an incident reporter, who is willing to become the eyes and ears of the community for the common good.
• INCIDENT:: A piece of news or commentary on anything bad that happens in thier surroundings, that need to bubble up and get some attention and hopefully action, in a system where currently everything is filtered through the views of a small group of reporters and editors. This could be in the form of Photo/Video/Audio/Text.
• ARK (verb):: ARKing is the process by which the Good Sam reports an Incident using the GOOD SAM application (Windows Phone/RT). ARK stand for "Act of Random Kindness".
• PARTNER:: Any verified NGO/Media/Government Body that partners with "The Good Sam Project". This Partner will get access to the incident submitted by the Good Sam.

The Good Sam Project has 5 main parts. This is how this platform works:
• SUBMISSION - The Good Sam Application (Windows Phone/RT), will allow users to report any incident. They can install this app from the Windows Store. The user information is not tracked and hence this app will not require any registration or account creation. You become a "GOOD SAM", the moment you report your first incident (Photo/Video/Audio/Text). If the user wish, he/she can feed in accurate location of the incident, contact information etc., which could potentially help the Partner. An unique case number for every incident that gets ARKed.
• MODERATION - This happens on the Cloud (Windows Azure). Our Cloud services Application will review the uploaded incident, validate it and finally push it across to one or more Partners (based on geography and incident type)
• ACTION - Once the Partner(s) gets the incident, they will have to take the ownership of it so that going forward they will be accountable for it.
• TRACKING - Our backend systems will track this process closely. The first partner to respond with be granted the ownership of the incident. The Good Sam can track the progress of the incident via the Tracking page inside the Application.
• PARTNER PAGE - We will have a huge list of NGO/Media/Government Body that will be a part of this Project, from all around the world and from different sectors (Women, Health, Education, Children, Disabled, Elderly, Environment, Animal etc.) These Partners will be added by our moderators after proper validation and verification. The Partner Page will be a webpage that will help new and potential Partners, to apply for getting enlisted in our Project.
