The Elephant Parade app allows the user to find out why and how the Elephant Parade began and examples of the painted elephants. This app is free and once downloaded from the Windows Store will provide the user with an abundance of information about the Elephant Parade. The elephant parade information is retrieved from several websites describing the Elephant Parade (i.e. http://www.elephantparade.com, http://www.mydanapoint.com/elephants, etc.).
The start page of the Elephant Parade app shows a panoramic view of some of the painted elephants. The page can be scrolled to the left and right exposing many other features.
The About Parade section includes buttons that supply information about the Elephant Parade. Under this section selecting the Overview button will provide the user with an overview of the parade. Selecting the How it all began button will supply information of how the parade originated. The Asian Elephant button gives information about the Asian Elephant. The Dana Point Elephants button will allow the user to get more information about all painted elephants displayed at the Dana Point, California (USA) parade. The Home – Elephant Parade button links to the home page of the Elephant Parade website. The Browser – Elephant Parade (Leave App) selection will take the user to the main website of the Elephant Parade providing full browser capabilities.
The Elephant Parades section when selecting a button takes the user to each website for the location of where the elephant parade was held. The buttons are: UK National Tour; Dana Point, CA (USA); Trier, Luxembourg; Hasselt, Belgium; Singapore; Milan, Italy; Copenhagen, Denmark; Heerlen, Netherlands; Emmen, Netherlands; Bergen, Netherlands; London, England; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Antwerp, Belgium; and Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The Videos section will provide the user with videos about the parade. The initial page also provides the user with a sample elephant painting video.
The Dana Point Elephants section provides detail about each elephant displayed at the Dana Point, CA (USA) elephant parade. The initial page provides images of each painted elephant displayed at this location.
