Description: This simple application lets you cook the perfect soft or hard boiled egg, whether you keep your eggs at room temperature or in the fridge.

The cooking time is carefully calculated by using Peter Barham's formula which is published in 'The Science of Cooking'.

A cheerful cockerel lets you know when your egg is cooked.

This update now gives you the option to allow your height above sea level to be used when calculating the perfect cooking time.

This option would be perfect for those who are on skiing or mountain walking holidays, since increased height lowers the temperature of the boiling point of water.

The height is obtained from the GPS in your phone, and needs to be switched on in the settings page of the Egg Timer app.

There is a second change that allows your normal room temperature to be set in degrees C or F.
