The trial mode is almost fully functional, the only limit being the number of consecutive records you are allowed to take. After recording for 12 minutes, you will have to tap the camera button to start recording again.

If your are not sure about it, just give it a try. The trial mode comes with full functionality, but it won't allow you to change the video clip duration and will record only 6 consecutive videos (12 minutes). You can then tap the record button again to restart recording.
