Do you have something you wish to say secretly to your peers without anyone able to know what is it? Or do you have something important (like your passwords, secret dairy) to store offline? CryptMug! will be the answer to all these needs!

With CryptMug! you will have the capability to create encrypted messages or to store texts in your personal storage in total private security. No worries about having your passwords stored on an third party online server and risk losing them to cyber-attaks again!

What is this app?
CryptMug! is a unique and secure simple text encrypting and sharing app. It will be made available on the Windows 8 store in the coming releases.

What cipher does it use?
CryptMug! uses a combination of n-looping Transposition and One-Time Pad to achieve a strong and secure encryption on your message.

How does the ciphers works?
Transposition - By scrambling the order of the characters, does not change the characters.
One-Time Pad - A very well-known and powerful cipher that is almost impossible to crack. Works by replacing the characters in the text through mathematical calculations between the plain text and the key.

So how to CryptMug! uses those cipher?
In CryptMug!, your message will be encrypted using transposition and One-Time Pad for a number and varying amount of time. Each round the order of the characters will be scrambled and the One-Time Pad cipher part will use a totally different Pad without repetitions.
These will make sure that there will be no predictable patterns in the encryption algorithm and nearly impossible to crack the encrypted message through brute force.

Is the encrypted text message stored secretly automatically anywhere?
No. The app do not have access to the internet or your local storage. Thus your Keys, plaintext, ciphertext will only be on your phone. No cache or automatic storing, anywhere.

What are some of the limitations, (major) bugs?
1. The app is currently using a list of accepted characters for encryption. This is to ensure that the characters in the cipher-text will be display-safe across all the platforms using common unicode characters.
2. Using a certain string as Key 1 will not encrypt the text. In this case modify the key SLIGHTLY will be sufficent.

Will they crash or brick my device, or void my warranty?
No.

How is the future of CryptMug! looking?
- I'm planning to first of all transforming this app into a universal app, bringing it across to Windows 8 store in the close future.
