Description: We are proud to present CarnaLife Holo, a module for assisting in advanced visualization of scans from 3D medical imaging (computed tomography, magnetic resonance, echocardiography or rotational angiography). A specialist, namely cardiologist, radiologist, physician, surgeon or other clinician, has the possibility, among other things, of rotating, looking inward and looking through the scanned volume, for a preoperative and intraoperative scenarios. In all fields of surgery, maintaining asepsis within the sterile surgical field is one of the most important concerns of surgical staff as to minimize the patient’s risk of infection. In most operating rooms, the surgeon may only view patient data such as CT, MR, 3DRA or ECHO scans on wall-fixed screens, therefore requiring him to exit the surgical field, or view the information from a distance. This can be overcome by using head-mounted displays that remain on the surgeon’s head and do not contaminate the surgical site. These devices can augment the surgeon’s view with images and information. Current version of CarnaLife Holo module performs a volume rendering with color transfer function and advanced shading. Optionally content can be displayed on a Microsoft HoloLens device in real-time using standard Wi-Fi connection using the view from a corresponding camera position at the client’s requested resolution.; MoreLess
