Description
A work-in-progress save converter for Minecraft.

This program can convert game saves in Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock (for iOS, Android, Windows 10, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, etc.) It does not support worlds saved in the legacy console versions for Xbox One, worlds saved on the Nintendo 3DS Edition, or the PlayStation 4 versions of the game. This program is also capable of downgrading Minecraft: Java Edition worlds saved in 1.13 to 1.12 worlds, intended to be used for other tools that may not have been updated to support Minecraft: Java Edition 1.13.

** This program is a work in progress! Some worlds may fail to convert or you may encounter other issues, please report them to http://tinyurl.com/andromedaforum and provide an upload to your non working world file. We appreciate your feedback!

This is a command-line based program and you can receive a list of CLI arguments via the --help argument. Simply run “andromedaconverter” from any PowerShell or CMD instance after installing this program (you will also need to restart any existing console windows). Alternatively, the program
also comes bundled in with a CLI-based GUI wizard which will help guide you through the program’s functionality.

PERMISSIONS:

** This program requires access to your file system. This program will scan your Minecraft world saves for convenience. Please grant the requested permissions when asked by the program or certain functionality may not work properly. You may change these settings later via the Windows 10 Settings app under the “Privacy” section. Due to UWP restrictions, this program will clone input world files into a local working cache directory, which is cleared by the program automatically. When converting worlds, the output is not currently customizable, so the program will tell you where you can find the converted result. Open this path in your file browser.

FUNCTIONALITY INCLUDES:
Bedrock 1.0+ to Java Edition 1.12
Java Edition 1.12 or Java Edition 1.13 to Bedrock
Java Edition 1.13 to Java Edition: 1.12

FAQ:
Q: Does this convert block entities such as chests?
A: Sort of. Some block entities like chests and their items are currently converted, but others may not work. Some currently intentionally non-implemented block entities include skulls, ender chests, and banners. Support for these will be progressively implemented in later updates. If your chests are not converting, please leave a report.

Q: Does this support new Update Aquatic blocks?
A: Full support for Minecraft 1.13 Update Aquatic blocks is currently in the works and will be in the next 0.4 update, along with 1.13 schematic support.

Q: Why is this paid?
A: It costs to publish to the Windows Store. Also, the developers put a lot of work into it!

Q: My world doesn't convert!
A: Please report it to [email protected] with a copy of the world in question.
