An RPG Dice app that allows you to enter a dice formula (e.g. 2d10+3).
If you're looking for some 3D animation... then get some real dice! This can never replace the thrill of watching that d20 roll off the table, but at least you'll never be without any with this app.
The dice are flat - hence 'Metro' - and featureless. However they are random, flip over whilst rolling, and you can type in a formula. Or you can just tap the dice you want.
You can roll by pressing the roll button or shaking the phone. While you shake (or tap and hold the roll button) the dice keep rolling, when you stop shaking they will come to a stop and the value (according to the formula) will be shown for a few seconds.
There is a 'keep' button. This is used in a few RPGs (such as Legend of the 5 Rings). On the default setting, 5d10k3 means roll 5 dice and count the highest 3 - maximum values 'explode' and roll again adding to the total. If you tap and hold the keep button you get a keep without exploding (5d10K3 - a capital K means no exploding). You can change the 'keep' functionality in the settings to a Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Advantage/Disadvantage type where k means keep highest and K means keep lowest so 2d20k would mean roll two d20s and keep the highest value.
You can save your favourite roll formula. To delete a saved combination, tap and hold the specific saved combination until the delete message box appears.
The settings button (gear icon) allows you to choose whether the Delete button is on the left or the right, change how long the value overlay appears for, and changes the 'keep' button functionality.
Hopefully this will be a useful app for you... it has been for me.
