INDEX INVESTING
GWAP investment universe includes more than 100 ETFs across all major asset classes, styles, regions and sectors. However we also include 30 of the largest capitalisation stocks.
ASSET PRICES REFLECT FUNDAMENTALS OVER THE LONG RUN
We monitor markets to identify significant divergence from fundamental value. We reflect these differences in our proprietary model strategies, which are reviewed quarterly. Rebalancing acts like a “buy low, sell high” strategy, which is a quasi-automatic way of preventing large deviations from long run fundamental value.
INVEST IN MANY UNCORRELATED ASSETS
GWAP investment universe covers all major asset classes, sub-classes, investment styles and regions. We measure cross correlations between all securities in our investable universe, which allows investors to spread their risk efficiently.
TAKE CONTROLLED RISKS AND PROTECT THE DOWNSIDE
All portfolios undergo a risk assessment. Our Backtesting module shows detailed proforma monthly returns, including during the 2008/ 09 stress conditions, so investors can have a good indication about real world potential outcomes. We also show the volatility of proforma returns, along with other risk metrics to provide further insights into the risk profile of the portfolios, before they are implemented. Depending on the risk profile (with the exception of the highest risk setting), GWAP imposes hard coded asset allocation limits. We eliminated from our investable universe higher volatility, or "exotic" securities (i.e. with opaque embedded risks) such as leveraged ETFs, ETNs based on futures contracts, short ETFs/ reverse ETFs, volatility ETFs, hedge fund strategies ETFs.
LOWER TOTAL COST
GWAP investable universe includes the lowest expense ratio, highest liquidity and highest quality ETFs in their asset class category. We integrate with some of the most cost-efficient brokers.
