Windows 10 preview build (10036): What you can and cannot expect from this

Microsoft is currently developing next Windows 10 preview build for Windows Insider program members, which will carry build number 10036. This will include host of new features along with tons of bug fixes. Here we have provided what you can and cannot expect from this yet to come Windows 10 Preview build (10036).

What you can expect in this build

Re-defined Virtual desktops:

We were so much disappointed after seeing the Virtual desktops functionality in Windows 10 since it was not functioning as expected. Each time user creates a new desktop, the already opened tasks were showing in new virtual desktop instead of providing fresh desktop experience, which wasn’t what we expected from Microsoft but things are going to take U turn with forthcoming Windows 10 Preview build (10036). This would be functional just how we wanted it to work. Each time, you create new desktop, it will greet with fresh desktop only and don’t show already opened tasks, it is actually big deal for most of the users (especially, for me).

Transparency:

Microsoft will add transparency to the start menu, which will show what is running in background. This will look cool and gives fresh look. However, we love both of the designs and don’t mind if Microsoft provides transparency.

Re-designed connectivity UI:

The notifications got big treatment in current Windows 10 preview build but we are going to see re-designed UI for showing Wi-Fi connections too. This fits perfectly with Metro UI.

New setup experience:

With next Preview build, users will experience brand new setup process with Metro style and it will give completely new experience. The setup will ask you to provide Microsoft account credentials and it will let you know basic features about Cortana, digital voice assistance, which would be so helpful for new Windows 10 users.

Others:

Users will notice slightly altered start menu items, which will give embedded look. In addition, slightly overhauled icons will be present for ‘all apps button’ and collapse icons in start menu and Windows Defender will also get new icon. The major bug found in this build so far is, when users try to close the expanded app folders, the entire start menu is crashing and taking some time to become functional state but it will be easily fixed by Microsoft engineers when it becomes available for Windows Insider program participants.

What you cannot expect in this build

Spartan browser:

Spartan browser is the major feature, about which lot of users have been waiting to give it a try but Microsoft isn’t ready to bundle its brand new Spartan browser with next Windows 10 Preview build. At this time, we don’t have any clues on this but we will try to bring more information for you in coming days.

Exact availability date:

This is major query we are getting from our readers since long time. Not we, even Microsoft cannot provide exact date of availability for this build. One thing is for sure, Microsoft is trying to speed up the new preview builds rollout for Windows Insider program members to speed up entire Windows 10 project.

There you have it, Microsoft is trying really hard to kick out bugs and bring huge improvements to Windows 10 so be patience and leave your expectations from Windows 10 in comment section below. We will try to explore about your queries in future articles.
