Windows 10 Occupies Nearly 10% of PC Market Share

Windows 10 is out for 5 monthes now. Most users are optimistic and rate highly on this new operation system. In previous article in Dec of 2015, we said that there are more than 200 million monthly active devices around the world running Windows 10. So how much market share Windows 10 occupies now? 


According to the latest report from Net Applications, Windows 10 claims 9.96% of the market.Although it grows a bit slower than November-it gained 1.06% market share in November, and 0.96% in December, Windows 10 is the fourth most popular OS of marketing. The top 1 is Windows 7, that is 55.68%.

 > Windows 7 now claims 55.68% of the market (down from 56.11%)

 > Windows XP: 10.93% (up from 10.59%)

 > Windows 8.1: 10.30% (down from 11.15%)

 > Windows 8: 2.76% (down from 2.88%)

 > OS X 10.11: 2.99% (up from 2.66%)

 > OS X 10.10: 2.23% (down from 2.45%)

 > Linux: 1.66% (up from 1.62%)

 > Chrome OS: Nowhere to be seen
