Day 1 Highlight of Microsoft Build 2016: Anniversary Update and Cortana

Microsoft Build 2016 is opened on March 30th of in San Francisco. The highlight of first day should be the anniversary update and Cortana. Anniversary update in 2016 should cover desktop PC, tablets, Windows 10 mobile phone, Xbox one and HoloLens, and IOT.

Here are some of the updates:

 * Windows Hello biometric security extending to Edge browser 

 * Windows Ink makes the handwriting more easily. Also Windows Ink allows Cortana to add events, locations and reminders to your online calendar from the scrawled note.

 * Xbox and Windows App Store will be unified

 * Cortana will be available above the lock screen, giving you quicker access to your personal assistant for common tasks across all types of devices without unlocking your PC.

 * UWP apps come to Xbox through a Unified Windows Store and every Xbox One can become a development kit. With the Anniversary Update, any Xbox One can be a developer kit with Xbox Development Mode.

 * Also, HoloLen is the main focus of the conference. HoloLens will assist medical treatment Dissection

and will partner with NASA to research the outer space.


It seems Cortana will be more and more important and it can become your personal gaming assistant and help you find great new games, new challenges or tips and tricks. For developers, Microsoft hope to give them the best Developer environment.
